Brittany Matthews and Patrick Mahomes’ daughter Sterling turns one years old on Sunday.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his fiancée Brittany Matthews are celebrating their daughter Sterling turning one years old on Sunday.

Mahomes and Matthews are high school sweethearts. They have been together through college and the early part of Mahomes’ NFL career. While so much has happened in the last year for all of us, Mahomes and Matthews have had to take on the new role of being parents. Matthews gave birth to their daughter shortly after Super Bowl 55 ended. Now, Sterling is turning one years old.

Here is a heartfelt message Matthews tweeted out about her daughter turning one on Sunday.

Brittany Matthews shares heartfelt message about her daughter turning one

Sterling is Matthews and Mahomes’ first child together. Though they have not gotten married yet, one would think that day is coming sooner rather than later. Things can be a little challenging with Mahomes being an NFL franchise quarterback, as well as COVID getting in the way of many weddings over the last two years. For now, there is no offseason when it comes to being a parent.

No matter how Mahomes’ NFL career shakes out, let’s hope Sterling and maybe her future siblings will be able to have long-lasting memories of their dad playing in the league at his highest power and their mom rooting him on every step of the way. Though her life will be different because of who her father is, Sterling is blessed to have two great parents who love her more than anything.

Happy Birthday, Sterling! Hope you get to enjoy that big piece of birthday cake all by yourself!
