North Carolina Tar Heels head coach Hubert Davis was pumped up during his interview in the middle of the NCAA national championship game.
The North Carolina Tar Heels have the opportunity to become the second No. 8 seed to win the NCAA national championship. All they had to do was defeat the No. 1 Kansas Jayhawks at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, La.
In the middle of the game, Tar Heels head coach Hubert Davis was interviewed by CBS Sports’ Tracy Wolfson, and to say he was pumped up is an understatement. Davis stressed that it was “live action.”

Davis is understandably pumped up. He is looking to win the national championship in his first season as head coach after replacing the legendary Roy Williams, and the Tar Heels took a late lead over the Jayhawks in the first half.
That did not come to fruition, as the Tar Heels blew a 16-point lead and lost 72-69 to the Jayhawks.
