Kansas national championship parade day, time, route details
The Kansas Jayhawks are the kings of March Madness 2022. So when and where will the Kansas national championship parade get going?
All season Kansas made a point of playing for the 2020 squad that didn’t get the chance to play in the NCAA Tournament.
They got the job done on Monday night by beating UNC to claim the NCAA National Championship.
When trophies are won, parades follow. When will the Jayhawks launch their celebration?
Kansas national championship parade day, time, route details
Kansas has not released official plans for their championship parade. So check back here later for up-to-date information.
Still, we can speculate about some of the parade details.
It will most likely take place in Lawrence, near KU’s campus. When the Jayhawks won the title in 2008, the parade started at 7th and Massachusetts and went south on Massachusetts to SouthPark.
Fans had to wait a while for that parade though. Kansas won the title on Monday and didn’t hold the parade until Sunday.
However, there were celebratory events put together more quickly. The Jayhawks had a celebration at Memorial Stadium on Tuesday to welcome home the triumphant team.
We don’t know if Kansas will follow the same plan for this celebration but they’ll definitely do something big to mark the occasion.
The parade could come as early as Wednesday or as late as Sunday.
