Mississippi State Bulldogs quarterback Will Rogers has been thrilling to watch while on the field and now he’s helping kids when he’s off of it.

While the topic of NIL deals has grated many college football fans, just about everyone should be able to get on board with what one talented SEC quarterback is doing through a new partnership that is designed to help others.

Will Rogers, fresh off of a season that featured him throwing for 4,739 yards and 36 touchdowns against nine interceptions, has apparently come to an agreement to help kids in the Magnolia State through Make-A-Wish Mississippi.

In a video shared to Twitter by Jon Sokoloff of WCBI, Rogers notes that he’s excited to give back and “make a kid’s day” through this partnership.

“It’s NIL in a different way,” Rogers said.

And that seems like a pretty good way to phrase that. It seems like many NIL deals that get attention on social media seem to be a little extravagant or somewhat goofy in some form or fashion. This is different.

“I’m not a big flashy guy when it comes to NIL, or anything like that,” Rogers explained. “But I love to help these kids out. I love to help [Make-A-Wish Mississippi].”

That’s just incredible stuff.

Rogers doing this is just the latest example of how some college athletes have found ways to impact those around them. Of course, it’s always incredibly encouraging to see people make a difference in the lives of children.
