Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Lorenzo Cain tried to field a single, but got hit below the belt during the team’s game against the New York Mets on June 16.

In an MLB game, there are instances when fielding a hit in the outfield can go wrong. That was the case during the June 16 game between the Milwaukee Brewers and New York Mets.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Mets infielder Luis Guillorme hit a single to center field. Lorenzo Cain tried to field the ball on a bounce, but was unable to do so after mistiming it. As a result, Cain was hit right below the belt.

Cain was in pain, as he had to both take a knee and walk it off. For those wondering, he did remain. in the game up until he was pinch-hit for in the top of the ninth inning.

As for who won the game, the Mets were able to pull off the 5-4 victory after being down 4-1 in the top of the fourth inning. With this win, New York was able to hold onto the best record in the National League.

In the game, Cain went 1-for-3 at the plate, where he struck out once and left two runners on base.

Cain tried his best to field that single by Guillorme, but it just did not work out the way he had hoped it would.
