It’s been a hectic day for the NBA, as star player Kevin Durant officially requested a trade from the Brooklyn Nets after signing with the organization three summers ago. With that, fans are wondering where exactly the former two-time NBA Finals MVP will play next season and beyond.

Could it be the Charlotte Hornets? LaMelo Ball posted an interesting photo to his Instagram story, which features himself and Durant on the court.

Before you get too hyped up, Hornets fans, the photos that followed on his story were of himself lining up opposite of his older brother, Lonzo of the Chicago Bulls, and a variety of other images.

The Nets are in a position where they are going to have to part ways with one of the best players in the entire NBA. That is not an easy thing to do.

According to multiple reports, Durant has the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat atop his preferred trade destinations wish list. The thing is, Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer noted that the Nets would ask for stars Devin Booker or Bam Adebayo in a return package.

At this stage, it is unknown who will actually be able to acquire Durant this offseason. We just have to wait and see once the official announcement is made. One thing is for certain, and that is this has the potential of being one of the largest trades in NBA history.
