“Top Gun: Maverick” actor and Philadelphia Phillies super fan Miles Teller lost it when his favorite team took the lead over the San Diego Padres in Game 3 of the NLCS.

The Philadelphia Phillies left San Diego tied 1-1 in the National League Championship Series against the Padres. But now, they get to play three consecutive games in Philadelphia, where they hope they can win their first NL pennant since 2009.

Game 3 of the NLCS was a must-attend event for Phillies fans. That included “Top Gun: Maverick” actor Miles Teller, who sat field level for the big contest.

With the game tied at 1-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning, second baseman Jean Segura stepped into the batters box with Alec Bohm and Bryson Stott on base. On a 1-2 pitch, Segura sent a pitch thrown by Joe Musgrove into right field for a single that brought Bohm and Stott home to give Philadelphia a 3-1 lead.

Teller was also spotted walking down the steps towards his seat and waving the Phillies’ red towel.

The Phillies made it to the postseason for the first time since 2011. In that span, they swept the St. Louis Cardinals in the Wild Card Series. Then, in the Division Series, they defeated their rivals and the defending World Series champion Atlanta Braves in four games. Entering Game 3, they were just three wins away from making a return to the Fall Classic.

Teller is going through all of the emotions through the NLCS, and it just so happens there was a lot of good going on for the Phillies in Game 3.
