Georgia-Florida provided us with two of the craziest plays you will see on this fine Saturday.

Crazy things tend to happen when Georgia takes on Florida in Jacksonville around Halloween.

Although the Dawgs are the No. 1 team in the nation and the Gators are rebuilding under first-year head coach Billy Napier, this is the Cocktail Party, an event where anything and everything can happen. Georgia may have entered halftime with a strong 28-3 lead, but we are not going to stop talking about the two of the most ridiculous plays this one-of-a-kind game gave us in the first half.

Here is Jadarrius Perkins ripping away what was almost a spectacular catch for Dominick Blaylock.

And here is Brock Bowers returning the favor, as he came up with this insane touchdown grab after the ball bounced off Amari Burney.

For a rivalry game as historic as this one, how could you possibly expect anything less from it?

With the Perkins pick, it was reviewed by the officials to see what exactly happened. There was some debate that Blaylock did come up with a catch thrown to him by Stetson Bennett IV. However, Perkins did in fact rip the ball out from Blaylock’s arms before he completed the catch with his back hitting the turf. Florida was unable to capitalize on the possession Perkins gave back to them.

After Florida went three-and-out on the ensuing possession, Bowers made something magical happen for Georgia when Bennett threw it his way. Bowers had the awareness to come up with the tipped ball off Burney. Once he came up with it, the best tight end in the nation was off to the races, as he scampered some 73 yards to pay dirt. That crazy touchdown made it 21-0 Georgia.

Overall, these are the type of plays that have become synonymous with this divisional rivalry game. It is why you can never count the opposition out of it, no matter how good you are or how bad your bitter rival is. The game is not over until the clock strikes zero. For Florida, they need more plays like the Perkins pick. For Georgia, more Bowers touchdowns like that should do it.

May the second half of the latest rendition of the Cocktail Party be as entertaining as the first was.
