WrestleMania 39 is in the books, and fans are probably wondering when the next WWE pay-per-view event will be. We have the answer for you.

WWE presented WrestleMania 39 this weekend, and it was a memorable two-night event in Inglewood, Calif. Rhea Ripley defeated Charlotte Flair to win the SmackDown Women’s championship. Gunther defended his Intercontinental championship against Sheamus and Drew McIntyre in a hard-hitting match. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens ended the 622-day Undisputed Tag Team championship reign of The Usos in the main event of Night One.

Now that WrestleMania 39 is in the books, fans are probably wondering when the next WWE premium live event will be. Well, we have the answer for you.

What is the next WWE PPV after WrestleMania 39

The next premium live event will be Backlash, which takes place on Saturday, May 6. Backlash will be taking place at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny is set to officially host Backlash. Bad Bunny made an appearance at WrestleMania 39 Night 1, where he prevented Dominik Mysterio from using a steel chain against Rey Mysterio. Rey was able to pick up the win shortly afterwards with a 619 and Frog Splash.

This will be the first WWE pay-per-view to take place in Puerto Rico since New Year’s Revolution back in 2005. The main event of that show was an Elimination Chamber match for the World Heavyweight championship, which saw Triple H defeat Randy Orton, Batista, Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, and Edge.

There should be a better idea as to what matches will be featured on the Backlash beginning on the Apr. 3 episode of Monday Night Raw.
