The Miami Heat entered Wednesday night’s match up against the Cleveland Cavaliers looking for their 24th consecutive win, which seemed all but guaranteed with Cleveland missing Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters, but the Cavaliers managed to get off to a hot start and put the Heat’s back up against the wall.

The Cavaliers were able to jump out to a twenty seven point lead and led the Heat heading in to the half, 67-40.

But as Miami showed us on Monday night against the Celtics, you can never count them out.

The Heat were able to rally and ended up taking the win, 98-95, after a 43-12 run sparked their comeback. Their consecutive win streak is now at twenty four. LeBron James finished the game with a triple-double — 25 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. It was his fourth of the season.

“We had to dig deep for this one,” LeBron said after the game in an on-court interview. “We already know, like I said this morning, every team is going to give us a good shot no matter their record, no matter who is on the floor, we are going to get their best. And we should enjoy that, we should embrace it because it picks up our level of intensity as well.”

The most entertaining part of the game came when a Cavaliers fan rushed on to the court to show his support of LeBron. The fan was wearing a shirt that read, “We miss you” on the front and “Come back in 2014” on the back. It was a nice showing of support by the fan, but it ended with him getting dragged off the court by security. At least he got a handshake from LeBron out of the deal.

Here is video of the fan running on to the court:

Will the Miami Heat be able to keep their winning streak going and clinch the longest in NBA history? We’re about to find out.
