Oakland Raiders Have Interest in Kevin Kolb if Matt Flynn Trade Falls Through

The Oakland Raiders are working to complete a deal for Seattle Seahawks back up quarterback Matt Flynn, but there is no guarantee that the deal will come to fruition. If the trade does fall through, the Raiders have a plan B. Friday evening a deal between Oakland and Seattle seemed like all but a done deal, but there has been a snag and still now deal completed, so could the Raiders turn to former Cardinals signal-caller Kevin Kolb?

Adam Caplan reported that the Raiders have discussed signing Kolb along with the trade for Flynn.

If Oakland ended up with Kolb and then released Carson Palmer, it could end up being a quarterback swap for the Cardinals and Raiders with Arizona reportedly very interested in Palmer.

However these quarterback situations end up, neither team is getting much better.

If the Raiders are comfortable kicking the tires on back up caliber quarterbacks, then they may as well give the New York Jets a call. I hear Timmy Terrific is available.

Decent informative blurb, and they you go dick mode with your ‘Timmy Terrific’ comment. I think it’s pretty obvious the Raiders are looking to make a move away from Palmer because of his 2013 salary. You’re talking about improving and we’re still trying to correct our massive cap fiasco. Learn something,

matt flynn and kolb are not in direction the team is going in if they do that would be a huge error and counter productive to what they’ve been doing.. Palmer is going to be cut probably or traded there’s no question about it, well unless he settles for less money but he’s a Jew, hopefully they bring back Campbell and young there cheap and descent plus are all fit for the same scheme typically/

The trade of Flynn to Oakland is definitely not in the best interest of Flynn or Seattle. I trust in Pete and John’s abilities and judgement, but this trade does not seem to be in the Seahawks best interests and needs this season.
