The Oakland Raiders are working to complete a deal for Seattle Seahawks back up quarterback Matt Flynn, but there is no guarantee that the deal will come to fruition. If the trade does fall through, the Raiders have a plan B. Friday evening a deal between Oakland and Seattle seemed like all but a done deal, but there has been a snag and still now deal completed, so could the Raiders turn to former Cardinals signal-caller Kevin Kolb?

Adam Caplan reported that the Raiders have discussed signing Kolb along with the trade for Flynn.

If Oakland ended up with Kolb and then released Carson Palmer, it could end up being a quarterback swap for the Cardinals and Raiders with Arizona reportedly very interested in Palmer.

However these quarterback situations end up, neither team is getting much better.

If the Raiders are comfortable kicking the tires on back up caliber quarterbacks, then they may as well give the New York Jets a call. I hear Timmy Terrific is available.
