The Sacramento Kings haven’t been able to find a way to make Jimmer Fredette work in their system, so rather than adjusting the way they’re using him, the team is buying him out. This is alright news for fans who were frustrated with Jimmer but it’s absolutely outstanding news for teams looking to get in on one of the rising stars in the NBA at the moment.

If Jimmer is put in the right system, he has the skills to flourish like he did while playing Provo at BYU, but he hasn’t found that system. According to Marc Stein from ESPN.com, that system won’t be in Memphis as Jimmer seems to be leaning against signing with the Grizzlies.

Earlier in the week the Grizzlies were pegged as a great landing spot for Jimmer as they looked to provide him with the showcasing playing time he covets. While that playing time may be there, it looks as though other options will be considered instead.
