There is a lot of uncertainty about the future of the Bills in Buffalo and while the team can’t move until 2020, there are already fears that when the date arrives, the boxes will be packed and ready to ship out. Thankfully for Bills fans, the next six years will be filled with potential buyers who want to keep the Bills in Buffalo and it appears that former Dallas Cowboys and Minnesota Vikings running back Herschel Walker is among that group.
Walker spoke recently to USA Today about a number of topics, one of which being his friendship with Donald Trump and his openness to partnering with him in order to purchase the Bills.
"“He would be a great owner, and a credible owner. He may rub some people the wrong way, but you can’t argue with his success as a businessman,” Walker said. “You want an owner with some flair. He knows how to promote.”"
Trump alone might not be able to buy a team, as NFL owners still aren’t forgiving of his USFL days in which he tried to overthrow the league as the nation’s go-to football league.
It was said that Trump only started the USFL because he couldn’t buy and actual NFL team, but having the sort of net worth he has plus a name like Herschel Walker next to his, the chances of an NFL team doing his way improve that much.
