The Cleveland Cavaliers got LeBron James back this summer and that has fans getting greedy about what else they want to add to the roster.

At the top of the list is Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star Kevin Love, but elsewhere on the list is future NBA Hall of Famer Ray Allen, who has been on the Cavaliers radar thanks to his relationship with LeBron James. According to Ira Winderman from the Sun Sentinel, the decision from Allen on his future in the NBA may wait until September, as that’s when Allen says his body can tell him if it’s ready to go another 82 game season.
"When I spoke to Ray last season about a decision to continue playing, he told me he wished he could wait until September every year for such a confirmation, since that is when he best can tell where his body and his mind stand. So the desire to put off such a decision this year is nothing more than Ray sticking to his plan."
Winderman also noted that while the decision from Allen is pending, and may wait until next month to become official, the Miami Heat are likely out of the conversation to land him — by their own choosing.
"I also sense that the Heat have moved on, based on the fact that there is absolutely nothing left to offer other than the minimum."
Allen returning would be great for the Cavs and for the league, but it’s far from being a done deal. He’s been around for 18 seasons, and while it’s easy to say he can’t forget about the game, it’s easier to say his body might be convincing him otherwise.
