Jeff Van Gundy decided to drop a little knowledge on the boy band One Direction and nobody has any idea what he is talking about.

I have no idea why Jeff Van Gundy started talking about One Direction while he was announcing the game for the Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs, but he wanted to drop his knowledge with all the sports fans that were tuning into the game.

Who in the world knows about One Direction? Isn’t that a band that teenage girls are listening to? Van Gundy is hip to all the news that is going around with the band though.

Anyone that knows a lot about One Direction, probably has no idea on who Jeff Van Gundy is. Somehow, the two are a match made in heaven.

Somehow, Van Gundy decided to relate a band member leaving One Direction to Kevin Durant being absent with an injury, because that makes a ton of sense. One member leaving a band is just like a member sitting on the sideline with an injury for a basketball team. One Direction should be fine without that band member as long as they have a Russell Westbrook to put the whole thing on his shoulders. If they have someone just like that, then they should be doing great. Who is their Westbrook?

Does that mean that the band member will be coming back at some point in order to make the band better? Durant will be coming back at some point.
