Here is the 2016 Denver Broncos schedule after the release on Thursday night.

The Denver Broncos enter the 2016 season as the defending Super Bowl champions, but no one is exactly expecting them to repeat this season. The Broncos lost starting quarterback and future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning to retirement, and they lost backup quarterback Brock Osweiler to the Houston Texans in free agency.

Still, the games need to be played and the Broncos are facing an uphill climb in 2016. They not only have a rising Oakland Raiders team within their division, but they also have a tough Kansas City Chiefs team that appears to be poised for a deep playoff run.

Coupled with that is their strength of schedule. While it is based off of 2015’s schedule, the Broncos enter the 2016 campaign with the 14th toughest schedule in the league. They face the Indianapolis Colts, Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots all at home. That is a tough set of opponents.

Their road schedule is a little easier, traveling to play the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans. They also play the Cincinnati Bengals and New Orleans Saints, but those two teams could be declining in 2016.
