Johnny Manziel has reportedly indicted for that domestic abuse incident back in January.

Things just keep getting worse for Johnny Manziel. He’s a free agent without an agent as Drew Rosenhaus has dropped him as a client. Now comes word out of Dallas that a grand jury has decided to indict him on a charge of misdemeanor assault according to CBS in Dallas.  There will be a news conference tomorrow.

The charge stems from an incident with his ex-girlfriend Collen Crowley. Manziel is accused of hitting Crowley in a car while driving her home. According to the report, she tried to get out of the moving car but Manziel stopped, dragged her back in the car and then hit her.

CBS is reporting that there is some sort of settlement expected between Crowley and Manziel in the civil part of the complaint and it was done out of court.

Crowley has a protective order against Manziel until February of 2018. Manziel can’t be within 500 feet of her or her apartment.

According to CBS 19 in Cleveland, if convicted, Manziel could get one year in jail and a fine of $4,000. He’s already had to pay $12,500 in legal fees.

I think it’s safe to say you can forget about any team signing Manziel for the foreseeable future. He needs to get his legal issues along with his drug and alcohol issues set and probably a mentor like a Tony Dungy who can act as an advocate on his behalf before any team or agent would be even willing to meet with him let alone bring him into the fold on the roster.
