Chicago Bulls point guard Rajon Rondo buries his teammates in an Instagram post

Disgruntled Chicago Bulls point guard Rajon Rondo took to Instagram to vent his frustrations in a long post aimed directly at his current teammates.

Rondo praised his former teammates in Boston. In the post, Rondo did not name any player by name. Instead Rondo used the term “vet” to describe former teammates Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, who appear with Rondo in the picture.

It has been no secret that Rondo has been unhappy with his time in Chicago but the Instagram post clearly articulates how unhappy he is with the situation. Rondo’s post seems to imply that Bulls stars Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade are worrying too much about numbers and not taking enough responsibility for the Bulls record.

The Bulls enter Thursday’s games with a 23-24 record, good enough for eighth in the Eastern Conference. After struggling the previous season, the seat of Head Coach Fred Hoiberg is going to continue to get hotter.

Given their numbers and importance to the Bulls, maybe Rondo should not be pointing the finger at Butler and Wade. Butler is having the best season of his career, averaging nearly 25 points per game. Wade is averaging 19.1 points this season. However, Wade is shooting a career low, 42.8 percent from the field.

The post could lead to Rondo’s exit from the Bulls and maybe even the NBA. After flaming out in Dallas, Rondo has struggled to find a home since being traded by Boston. In 38 games this season, Rondo is averaging 27 minutes, 6.4 points, 6.5 assists and 5.4 rebounds per game. However, Rondo is shooting a dismal 36.4 percent from the floor.

Given the post, Rondo’s unhappiness with the Bulls and a less than ideal relationship with Hoiberg. It would not be surprising to see the Bulls release the former All-Star. Given Rondo’s behavior in recent years, it seems unlikely that the Bulls would be able to find a trade partner.
