The Los Angeles Dodgers’ 2013 season looked like it was going to over before they could even reach the All-Star break. LA was 30-42 back on June 21, more than nine games out of first place.

Since then, they ripped-off a major league-best 37-8 since 22 June, a stretch that has dramatically turned around their season after they trailed the Arizona Diamondbacks by as many as 9½ games. The Dodgers are a season-best 17 games over .500, and are undefeated in their last 15 series (11-0-4).

It’s the third time in franchise history the Dodgers have gone on a run like this, ESPN reports.

Their most recent win was an 8-2 interleague victory over the Tampa Bay Rays last night, as their ace, Clayton Kershaw allowed just three hits over eight innings and hit a two-run single as the Los Angeles Dodgers increased their National League West lead to a season-best 7½ games.
