Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White has been dealing with an ankle injury and, despite playing in the team’s Week One match up against the New Orleans Saints, he admits that it will still be awhile until he is 100 percent.

White suffered a high ankle sprain during the preseason that has hurt his production, but that hasn’t stopped him from toughing it out and finding a way to get on the field. White playing really wasn’t a surprise, considering he has never missed a regular season game in his career, but it was obvious that White was not his normal self.

“They wanted me in certain areas to do certain things so that they couldn’t just bracket guys,” White said, via D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.  “That’s what we did. It’s hard to cut. It’s hard to do just about everything at the position.”

Until White is healthy, he will be a decoy in the passing game, but he will need to get healthy and find a way to contribute on the field if he wants to make the decoy effective.
