Former New England Patriots linebacker Brandon Spikes, who signed on with the Buffalo Bills this offseason has made more of a name for his mouth than his skills on the field and not shockingly, he’s running it again.

More from Buffalo Bills

Spikes, who was speaking to the Bills’ website stated he believed Buffalo has all the right tools for a successful year and will ‘shock the world‘ this season.

“I think we’re gonna shock the world this season … I’m all in,” said Spikes.

With another year of an improved E.J. Manuel, a healthy Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller and the addition of Sammy Watkins, it’s hard to believe the Bills won’t see some noticeable improvement. That said, the AFC East isn’t exactly going to be a cakewalk as they’ll need to deal with the New England Patriots, the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins – all of which have had solid offseasons, at least on paper.

Spikes of course has a bit of a vendetta with the Patriots, whom he called on on Twitter earlier this past offseason so he may just be doing his usual gum flapping in effort to create some bad blood between the Bills and their division rivals.

Few will be rooting against the Bills, who are currently in a bit of limbo moving forward after the passing of their longtime owner Ralph Wilson. Multiple groups are said to be interested in bidding on the franchise, though sadly a large handful seem intent on moving the franchise out of upstate New York.

For a while though, the fans can at least focus on football and hopefully Spikes’ prediction rings true for them.
