The NBA Draft is underway and the picks are starting to finally fly off the board. After months of waiting in anticipation, the draft is now finally showing us where the prospects we’ve watched over the last few years will go.

More from NBA

It was a pretty jumbled first few picks as while the players we expected to be picked at the top of the draft ended up going there, the teams who ended up picking them were very different than we thought. Dante Exum going to the Utah Jazz at No. 5 overall was a shocker, Marcus Smart to the Celtics a pick later wasn’t expected and Nik Stauskas to the Sacramento Kings was a stunner as well.

The Philadelphia 76ers grabbed Joel Embiid with thier first pick of the night and went on the clock again at No. 10 overall to draft Elfrid Payton to pair him with Michael Carter-Williams.

The first two picks by the 76ers were interesting picks to say the least but they’re walking away with amazing prospects and that’s going to make the 76ers an exciting team moving forward.
