After prospect Ray Borg was forced from the card due to injury, Irish veteran Neil Seery has stepped in to fight Richie Vaculik at UFC Fight Night 55.

Neil Seery rebounded from a short notice loss to Brad Pickett in his UFC debut, defeating Phil Harris in Seery’s backyard of Dublin, Ireland. The 24-fight veteran, now in his mid-thirties, has grown leaps and bounds in his later years, winning seven of his last nine bouts as a result.

‘2 Tap’ looks to build another win streak with a victory over Richie Vaculik, and potentially make a late run at the flyweight title. In a division where contenders are lacking, a statement from either fighter could go a long way.

Richie Vaculik, like Seery, will look to go 2-1 inside the Octagon; after suffering a first round TKO loss to Justin Scoggins, ‘Vas’ was victorious in June, earning a unanimous decision over Roldan Sangcha-an. Vaculik has struggled since joining the UFC after entering the promotion with high expectations.

UFC Fight Night 55 is headlined by a middleweight fight between Luke Rockhold and Michael Bisping, with the card held at Allphones Arena in Sydney, Australia on November 8.
