Minnesota Vikings, 7-9, Third in NFC North

There have been some flashes from the Minnesota Vikings this year, and they are currently sitting in third place in the NFC North. It isn’t likely that they will be able to compete with either the Green Bay Packers or Detroit Lions, but they are still a much better football team than they have been in recent years. Teddy Bridgewater looks like he has a good amount of potential, and he might be the franchise quarterback that they have been searching for.

Adrian Peterson was a major disappointment for them this year, and their season might be extremely different if he had been around all year long. It appears that he will be making a return to the field prior to the seasons end, which could help them make a late year run at the playoffs. That being said, it’s still a long shot that they can actually make the playoffs this season.

Defensively, they have made quite a few improvements and have a budding star in linebacker Anthony Barr. They have a need in the secondary, but they are looking much better than they have in years past. Third place in the NFC North is where this team should end up if they continue playing the way that they have been this year.
