30. Thurman Thomas in Super Bowl XXV

RB, Buffalo Bills

Despite the fact that the Buffalo Bills lost this game, the first of four consecutive Super Bowl losses, Thurman Thomas put together a monstrous game that should be remembered. He ran for 135 yards on just 15 carries against the New York Giants. Now that’s efficiency. He also had 55 receiving yards on five receptions on the day, making him a dual-threat throughout the Super Bowl.

In the fourth quarter he put the team on his back and busted a 31-yard touchdown run to give the Bills a 19-17 lead. However it wouldn’t quite be enough and the Bills would lose by one point in heartbreaking fashion. Thomas was a dominant runner throughout his career and he nearly led his team to the promised land in Super Bowl XXV. Today he is still remembered as one of the top runners of his generation.
