Warren Sapp may be a Super Bowl winner, but he lost his job this Super Bowl weekend after his illegal taste for hookers was made public.Â
The NFL Network has terminated the contract of Warren Sapp after he was arrested in Arizona for soliciting a prostitute in the mid-morning hours of post-Super Bowl Monday. Reports of the arrest didn’t reach the public until the afternoon and it has taken Sapp’s now former employers even less time to decide his fate.

Initially, Sapp was suspended indefinitely by NFL Network after news of his arrest was released, but it took even less time for the network to decide that Sapp wasn’t someone they wanted representing the NFL brand.
Of course, football and hookers go hand in hand, at least if you’re listening to any tell-all book written by Jeff Perlman or researched the extracurricular activities of most former player arrested for similar offenses as Sapp. There is nothing wrong with liking hookers, as they’re sex workers just trying to make a living like the rest of us. However, the law happens to have an issue with those who have a hankering for the red light dwellers and that’s where Sapp is getting into trouble here.

NFL Network is a direct entity of the NFL, so there was almost no wiggle room here for Sapp if you practically look at the situation.
It’s unfortunate, but Sapp has a shady history in which he often gets aggressive with women in an abusive manner, which more makes you feel bad for the hookers he was trying to solicit than you do feel bad for Sapp.
