Blue Jays’ Kevin Pillar injures himself sneezing, out 10 days
By Jack Crosby
Kevin Pillar had a rather unfortunate incident recently that will keep him out for a while. He sneezed
Baseball injuries, much like any sport, can be harsh sometimes. However, as we’ve learned throughout the years recently, baseball injuries can be just a bit on the ridiculous side. We’ve seen ball players injure themselves playing with their children at home, swimming, fixing their vehicles–a variety of things. Well, let’s take a look at our latest subject, Blue Jays left fielder Kevin Pillar.
You see, we found out on Sunday that Pillar, right in the heart of spring training here, will need to be taking some time off; 10 days, to be exact.
Now, why is Kevin Pillar being forced to sit on the bench for a bit while the rest of his Blue Jays team prepares for the 2015 season?
Well, you see…he sneezed.
As stated earlier, we have seen some pretty insane injuries throughout the seasons, but this one ranks right up there on the ridiculous meter of baseball happenings that force someone to the sidelines.
Kinda makes you wonder, though: Have we actually strained our obliques while in the act of sneezing and maybe we just didn’t know it? Try calling off work some time for 10 days and use the excuse, “I sneezed and now my oblique is ruined.”
