New England Patriots

  • 2014 Finish: 12-4, 1st in AFC East, Super Bowl Champions
  • Top Positional Need: Guard

You’d think after losing Darrelle Revis to the Jets that the New England Patriots would be hurting for cornerback. You’d think losing Brandon Browner would cement the position as the top need.

If you thought that, you’d be wrong.

Patriots Guards:

  1. Ryan Wendell
  2. Jordan Devey
  3. Josh Kline
  4. Chris Barker

The Pats could undoubtedly use a corner. They could actually use a prototype receiver as well. Actually, they have a few holes now after their most recent Super Bowl conquest.

However, the offensive line needs some work, especially on the interior.

If LeGarrette Blount remains the starter heading into 2015 then the big boys up front will definitely need some bolstering. Moreover, Tom Brady loves to step up in the pocket. Not only is his left tackle supremely important, but those guards are critical for his desire to climb the pocket and deliver a strike.

New England will also need an interior defensive lineman after cutting ties with Vince Wilfork.
