NBA Awards 2015: 5 reasons James Harden should have won MVP
Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry won the NBA Most Valuable Player Award, closely edging out Houston Rockets guard James Harden in points 1,198 to 936.
Stephen Curry is more than worthy as the MVP winner. As the leader of the best team in the NBA, the Golden State Warriors point guard was a potent, explosive scorer who could use his ball handling and passing to push the pace and make opposing defenses off balance. This play was a microcosm of what Curry’s season looked like.
Curry broke the record for most three point shots in a season with 270, and guided the Warriors through a stacked Western Conference to a 67-win season.

But – James Harden deserved the MVP award.
The quality of both players’ seasons is close enough where saying Harden was snubbed would be a disservice to Curry. And yet, while Curry was more entertaining, more visible and had more Jamie Foxx, Harden was the more valuable player for the Rockets.
James Harden will likely get his chance for revenge if the Rockets can move past the Los Angeles Clippers in the Conference Semifinals. But for the time being, he must remain second to the Warriors sharpshooter.
Here are a few reasons why Harden deserves to be named MVP.
