Steph Curry won the MVP this season because of his tremendous shooting and playmaking, which helped the Golden State Warriors finish with the best record in the league and advance to the NBA Finals. He set a new record for three-pointers made in a season, and put together a highlight reel full of breathtaking dribbling moves. He was truly a sight to behold on the court this season.

And apparently, he’s quite the sight to behold in the weight room. You have to check this out.

From ESPN’s Tom Haberstroh:

"“He’s probably 10 times stronger than what people think,” Lyles says.Exhibit A: Curry can deadlift 400 pounds. The exercise the Warriors prefer is the trapbar dead lift, which is basically a safer way to mimic lifting a giant boulder off the ground. One of the primary muscles that it works? Yup, the gluteus maximus.“Steph’s the second strongest on our team pulling that one,” Lyles says with a straight face. “For his size, Steph is ridiculous strong.”"

Yo, what? Whut? Wat? Wut?

I did a google search and it appears that the world record for the deadlift is 1018.5 pounds, so Steph’s got some work to do if he wants to wind up in the record books for weightlifting as well basketball.

But still, 400 pounds!? That’s insane. The second strongest for that lift on the team? He plays with Andrew Bogut and Draymond Green! Steph is 6’3″, 190 pounds. He’s lifting over twice his own weight! Been Steph Curry with the deadlift.

I feel like at this point people can just start making up stories about Steph and no one will even think twice.

“Yo, did you hear? Steph Curry wrastled a charging gator with one arm tied behind his back and a blindfold on?”

“Yeah, that sounds right.”
