My selections are tailored toward DraftKings scoring system but these picks can also be helpful in H2H formats with daily rosters where some of my recommended players may be available to pick up off the Waiver Wire. Also, a majority of these selections would also be recommended for FanDuel, but you should first understand the differences between each baseball scoring system before plugging players in both.
Without further ado, here are my best pitcher and hitter selections for the full Evening slate (7:05 p.m., 15 MLB games) of DK contests on July 21st, 2015.
Good Luck!

Around the Foghorn
Gerrit Cole (PIT) at KC for $10,500: Cole has had a stellar 2015 campaign with a 13-3 record, 2.30 ERA and 1.12 WHIP. He faces the Royals in Kauffman Stadium (27th in PF HR at 0.74) where the Pirates are anywhere between a -115 and -130 road favorite. Amazingly, Cole has been even better on the road this year with a 6-1 record along with a 1.82 ERA in 9 starts. Although the Royals are a good offensive team, expect Cole to get at least 25 FP here at a very reasonable $10,500 price tag.
Brett Anderson (LAD) at ATL for $7,400: Anderson (5-5, 3.47, 1.30 WHIP) has been good this year for the Dodgers, averaging a respectable 14.4 FPPG for someone whose salary usually stays in the $6000s. He is coming off a post-All Star Break quality start vs. MIL and has averaged 20.4 in his last four outings. The Dodgers are a big -140 road favorite against the Braves, who are is hitting just .231 against LHP, 25th in the majors. Even at a higher than usual price, Anderson is worth the start tonight.

Call to the Pen
2B/OF Ben Zobrist (OAK) home vs. TOR (Buehrle) for $3,700: Zobrist (.258, 5 HR, 32 RBI in 61 games) is averaging a decent 7.2 FPPG. He has always been a much better hitter from the right side, and is batting .294 vs. LHP in ’15. He faces lefty Mark Buehrle, against whom Zobrist has hit .367 (11 for 30) with a home run.
1B Paul Goldschmidt (ARZ) home vs. MIA (Latos) for $5,300: The Diamondback stud has been simply a force in 2015 with a .341 BA, 21 HR, 72 RBI, 17 SB and a massive 11.1 FPPG in 91 games. He will go against Marlin SP Matt Latos and holds a .364 (4 for 11) lifetime mark against him. I don’t usually recommend a batter with this big of a price, but this multi-threat fantasy producer is worth the start in hitter paradise Chase Field.
Tips for New Daily Fantasy League Players
1B/OF Brandon Moss (CLE) at MIL (Garza) for $3,800: Moss (15 HR, 48 RBI, 6.7 FPPG in 86 games) is one of the key hitters for the Indians. He has a good L/R matchup vs. Matt Garza (4-10, 5.55 ERA, 1.55 WHIP) who he has 5 hits and a HR in just 10 career ABs. Plus, the game is at Miller Park, which is by far the best HR park in MLB with a 1.81 Park Factor HR mark in 2015. This all adds up to a potentially huge night for Moss at an affordable cost.
