Chris Johnson-Arizona Cardinals (55.4%)

Just because David Johnson made the fancy plays and found the end zone on Sunday doesn’t mean that he’s stoled Chris Johnson’s job in Arizona.  Coach Bruce Arians typically brings rookies along slowly which can be frustrating for fantasy owners who are hoping for more touches for their young phenom.  If you can’t get David Johnson, it’s worth giving Chris Johnson a look since he did out-carry the rookie 20-5 last week.

Chris Johnson didn’t look especially amazing averaging just over three yards per carry, but the volume of work makes him worth a look if you need a one-week flex play. He obviously has the trust of the Cardinals’ coaching staff and will keep getting work for as long as he’s the “starter” in Arizona. Johnson is expected to continue to start until Andre Ellington returns which could be in week 4 of week 5.

One of the reasons I have Chris Johnson behind David Johnson in this list is that once Andre Ellington returns, I think Chris Johnson will have very little fantasy value as Ellington and David Johnson divide out the carries. However, if you need a one-week fill-in CJ?K is far from the worst option you could role with.
