49ers players had heated argument over Colin Kaepernick

The San Francisco 49ers are becoming divided over quarterback Colin Kaepernick if the latest reports are true.
Saying that the San Francisco 49ers are a mess right now would be an understatement, but the locker room appears to be divided if a recent report from CSN Bay Area is to be believed. It was already reported that the 49ers were involved in a heated argument during a players-only meeting when talking about quarterback Colin Kaepernick. It has since been revealed that left tackle Joe Staley and tight end Vernon Davis were the main parties involved.
Sources relayed to CSN Bay Area claim that Davis criticized Kaepernick before Staley leaped to the quarterback’s defense. This players only meeting was held after 49ers head coach Jim Tomsula asked the players to discuss their differences among themselves before leaving them to talk to each other. It is also being rumored that the argument became so heated that it turned physical. However, Kaepernick downplayed the situation and insisted that he and Davis get along just fine.
“I think we have great communication in this building. This team is working its hardest to fix the problems we do have. And make sure we’re ready to win games on Sundays,” Kaepernick said.
According to Pro Football Talk, Tomsula also promised that this alleged incident is no big deal while likening it to an Italian dinner.
Davis is being viewed as a trade deadline candidate since his contract is set to expire after this season. It would not be surprising if the 49ers continue their rebuilding process by trading their star tight end for a high draft pick. Davis would probably not mind the change of scenery either, assuming he would be traded to a better team.
