3. He has a future in the Hall of Fame

Being in the Hall of Fame isn’t just about the numbers and accomplishments, which Calvin Johnson has. It’s also just as much about leaving a legacy on the field and being someone that will be fondly remembered for their play on the field.

Calvin Johnson is one of those players that will always be fondly remembered at the wide receiver position, which is why he will be in the Hall of Fame one day representing the Detroit Lions.

Johnson has led the NFL in receiving yards twice in his career, has been an All-Pro three times, has over 11,000 career yards to his name, owns the single-season receiving yards record and even has a rule named after him. That right there is a legacy to be remembered.

He even once had 329 receiving yards in a game, which is the second-most yards ever by a receiver in the game. While his overall numbers may not be as high as some Hall of Fame receivers, he has the games and moments to back his career up.

There weren’t many receivers to ever be as physically dominant as him and have the ability to play the receiver position in all facets. With such a diverse skill set and the ability to put up some of the biggest games in the history of the NFL, Johnson will be in the Hall of Fame.
