Indiana – Yogi Ferrell

When it came to the No. 5 seed Indiana Hoosiers coming into March Madness, it really wasn’t some great secret that they were going to go as far as senior point guard Yogi Ferrell was going to be able to take the. Coming off of a huge victory over the Kentucky Wildcats in the Second Round, though, it seems like Ferrell is poised to take this team a long way, but he will have to lead them past yet another titanic test in the form of the No. 1 seed North Carolina Tar Heels in the Sweet 16.

In their first two victories of the NCAA Tournament, Ferrell was huge for the Hoosiers as he’s averaged 19 points, seven assists, and three rebounds per game. However, the matchup with the Tar Heels is going to be by far the toughest defensive matchup that he’s faced to date in March Madness as both Marcus Paige and Joel Berry are capable of locking it down on that end of the floor.

Ferrell is going to have some degree of success and production because he’s honestly too talented not to. However, the key will be whether or not he can do that while not forcing the issue to the detriment of his team or if he can continue to simply just lead the way as the catalyst for the rest of his team.
