LeBron James will hit free agency again this summer, but does a new TV show he’ll produce prove that he will re-up with the Cleveland Cavaliers next season?

Cleveland Cavaliers point forward LeBron James is one of the biggest superstars in the NBA today. While the veteran wing will be one of the biggest names to hit 2016 NBA free agency this summer, does a TV show that he will produce on CNBC indicate that James will return to the Cavaliers in 2016-17 and beyond?

While James has already appeared in several movies and TV shows as one of basketball’s biggest celebrities, the significance of this upcoming show on CNBC is that it will be called “Cleveland Hustles” and will air this summer on CNBC, premiering at 10:00 PM ET on August 24th.

In a press release from CNBC, the cable network said the following about their upcoming television series, “In this unscripted series set in Cleveland, Ohio, NBA superstar LeBron James and his longtime friend and business partner Maverick Carter will give four up and coming local entrepreneurs the chance to realize their own dreams while also helping revitalize a neighborhood in Cleveland.”

Since the upcoming television show features James and one of his closest friends in Carter helping support aspiring entrepreneurs in Northeast Ohio, it would be extremely awkward for James to leave the Cavaliers organization yet again after CNBC airs this reality series.

Perhaps this is The Decision, Part Deux that NBA fans were all waiting for in James reassuring that he would re-up with the Cavaliers after this season? James leaving Cleveland for the second time in six years would be yet another cruel plot twist in America’s championship-starved professional sports city.

If James is creating a reality show on CNBC with his best friend to help revitalize Cleveland, one could argue that the future Hall of Famer will invest in his home state longterm and re-sign with Ohio’s lone NBA franchise for the foreseeable future.
