FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy baseball lineup-June 10
First Baseman
High-Salary Option: Will Myers-San Diego Padres (4,200): While Anthony Rizzo is always a good play as well, I like Myers a little more tonight as he and the Padres visit the rarified air of Coors Field to face the Rockies. There is potential weather concerns, but if they play the game look for Myers to continue his success against southpaws as he faces Jon Gray. Myers is 11-24 (.458) over the past week with four homers and six RBI and has crushed the Rockies all season going 14-38 (.368) with three homers against them. He is 3-8 in his career against Gray and is hitting .302 against lefties as a whole this season. Look for Myers to end up with another good stat line tonight as long as the rain holds off in Denver. ∗∗∗∗
High-Salary Option: David Ortiz (4,000): In the other game threatened by weather, David Ortiz will make his first start after four days off while the Red Sox traveled (Monday, Thursday) and played two games against the Giants with no DH. Ortiz always enjoys crushing his former team the Twins and comes into tonight with a ridiculous 1.153 OPS so far in his final season. ∗∗∗
Mid-range Option: Miguel Cabrera-Detroit Tigers (3,700): Cabrera is still behind the top their of pricing on FanDuel with makes him a solid mid-range bargain as he and the Tigers head to the Bronx. Cabrera has started the month 10-33 (.303) with three doubles and went 5-11 (.455) in his series against New York earlier this season. He has a good history against CC Sabathia coming in 10-34 (.294) with a pair of homers, six walks, and a dozen RBI. ∗∗∗∗
Mid-range Option: Brandon Moss-St. Louis Cardinals (3,200): Moss has multiple hits in each f his last three games including three home runs. He is a total of 8-15 (.533) so far in June and should be in the lineup again tonight against Gerrit Cole. While Cole is always a tough matchup, Moss id 3-15 with a double and a homer against him in the past and he’s always a good play against righties where he picks up almost all his power numbers.∗∗∗
High-Value Option: Adam Lind-Seattle Mariners (2,500): Lind is just 3-20 to start June, but he did go 3-10 in his last three games against the Indians including picking up his seventh homer of the season in last night’s loss to the Tribe. Tonight, he and the M’s host Derek Holland and the Rangers. Lind is 6-15 in his career against the “Dutch Oven” and has a homer and six RBI in their previous meetings. Given his recent form, he’s definitely no lock, but he is a solid cheap play to give you money to spend other places.∗∗
