There really is no place like home. Jabrill Peppers is from East Orange, New Jersey, which is only a short drive from Metlife Stadium, where the New York Jets play their home games. Peppers, who starred at nearby Paramus Catholic High School, would be a welcome addition to any franchise, but with the Jets, he would be an instant fan favorite.

Jets fans are known for booing their selections on draft night, but that would certainly not be the case if they select Peppers. The star linebacker came home this past week to play against Big Ten foe Rutgers, and put on a superhuman show in the team’s 78-0 victory. He excelled on both sides of the ball, and at some points, looked like he was a video game character.

The New York Jets have plenty of pieces in place to be a contender in the AFC, but they are lacking that one star who can take over a game. Peppers has a Charles Woodson-type quality in him, and could follow Woodson’s footsteps to a Heisman Trophy this season. He would be a perfect fit for what the Jets try to do on defense, and could also help out in the secondary, returning punts, as well as the Wildcat.
