52. Gus Bradley’s team played one of its better games of the season at Orchard Park. But a loss is a loss and the Jaguars once again found a way to come up short. The club dropped its fourth consecutive road game and their shaky run defense came back to bite them against the Bills. Veteran running back LeSean McCoy racked up 103 of his team’s 153 yards on the ground. Three of Buffalo’s four touchdowns came on the ground. The Jaguars actually outgained their hosts on the ground. However, a big chunk of Jacksonville’s 183 rushing yards came via the feet of quarterback Blake Bortles, who gained 81 yards on eight scrambles.

Next Week: The good news for the team is that they return home after playing four of their previous five contests on the road. The bad news is that the opposition is the defending Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos, who make their first trip to Jacksonville since 2010.

Playoff hopes: Well, two out of three isn’t bad. It’s worth noting that things are looking up for the Miami Dolphins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers these days. As for the third NFL entry from the Sunshine State, it’s adding up to another long year for these Jaguars. Bradley has not been able to get this team turned around and the club has now dropped six straight games…and counting. No playoff aspirations here.
. 2-9. Previous: . Jacksonville Jaguars. 30. team
