The 2017 NBA All-Star game just ended and it’s time to take a look at the best parts of the game and recap just what happened tonight.

Well, tonight was the night that all NBA fans have waited for. This superstar-filled event had plenty of high flyers along with a handful of sharpshooters. This was a fantastic game with some insane highlights as the West won by the score of 192-182. If you happened to miss this game you definitely missed out, but here are a few points in the game that are necessary to share.

Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook seemed to have made up! In the first quarter, Durant threw an alley-oop to his former teammate Russell Westbrook and the West bench almost threw a party on the bench.

This may not seem like a big deal to the most casual observer but context will be necessary to clear the air. Though they now appear to be friends on the court, Durant ditched his former team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, to join the Golden State Warriors to have a better chance at finally winning a championship.

To put this in perspective, this act is comparable to LeBron James leaving Cleveland to win a championship in Miami. Speaking of LeBron, he had a fantastic night finishing with 23 points and 3 rebounds. Oh, and he is also a self-proclaimed sharpshooter now.

Honestly, what can’t this man do?

And then there’s LeBron doing LeBron things.

Stephen Curry played well tonight, despite his awkward half-court misses last night, finishing with 21 points, four rebounds and six assists. Curry decided that he wasn’t going to be put on a poster by Giannis Antetokounmpo and decided to take a quick hiatus on the court.

Antetokounmpo had a very good game as well scoring 30 points and six rebounds. Westbrook and Isaiah Thomas went mano a mano tonight, exchanging buckets one after the other.

The real question after that Westbrook shot is, did he call bank? Westbrook also managed to catch fire, shooting 4-of-5 from three in a stretch during the third quarter and tried to cool himself off.

Not sure it worked because he scored 41 points to go along with five rebounds and seven assists. HIs former teammate managed to upstage him, finishing with a triple double, something Westbrook averages entering the break. While they both were in the spotlight all night long, neither broke Wilt Chamberlain’s record for most points in an All-Star Game. That went to Anthony Davis as the hometown hero took game MVP honors after scoring 52 points.

Davis had a fantastic game in front of the hometown crowd as the New Orleans Pelicans star also added 10 rebounds to take home MVP honors as well as the win.
