Three days after being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, Kurt Angle was named as the new general manager of WWE RAW by Vince McMahon

Kurt Angle was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as the headlining member of the 2017 class on Friday night. It was his first time within the company in a decade and it was long overdue. What’s more, he absolutely killed it with his speech. It wasn’t a tearjerker like others at the ceremony, but it was perfectly Kurt Angle. And really, that’s all that anyone would want it to be.

However, the big question after the Hall of Fame induction was what would be next. Though he’s been competing on the independent scene recently, it’s hard to believe WWE would put him in the ring right away. So what then did that leave for him to do, if anything at all, if he were to stick around with the company.

Fans got the answer on WWE RAW after WrestleMania on Monday night.

Vince McMahon came out to the ring and stated that there would be a superstar shakeup next week. Before that could happen, though, he also stated that they had a hole to fill. Following the firing of Mick Foley as the WWE RAW general manager, someone needed to step in and take up the mantle. Vince’s decision on who would be that person was none other than the Olympic gold medalist:

OH IT’S TRUE!

Angle obviously didn’t have much to say to start his reign as the new GM. However, fans have been clamoring for him to be back in the company for quite some time. And as one of the most entertaining superstars in pro wrestling history, it’s hard to believe he will do anything but knock the role out of the park.
