Joel Embiid battles soccer star Paul Pogba on the court (Video)

Joel Embiid has been the king of this NBA offseason, and he added to his antics in his one-on-one battle with soccer star Paul Pogba on Monday.

Apparently “The Process” must have some pretty weird steps to get the Philadelphia 76ers to the NBA Finals, because Joel Embiid was seen battling soccer star Paul Pogba on the court Monday afternoon.

Whether it’s clips from the court, funny exchanges on Twitter or moments at the NBA Draft Lottery, Embiid has become a huge personality in the NBA and is pretty much dominating the entire offseason with his shenanigans. With that said, it’s still surprising to see him battling someone in one-on-one who regularly isn’t allowed to use his hands in his sport.

However, Pogba showed off some skills on the court against Embiid. He showed how he’s not completely outmatched despite the mismatch on the court, and drained a shot right over the Sixers stud.

With the clip of him getting scored on being circulated around the Internet, Embiid countered with an Instagram video of his own. To show fans he’s not completely off of his game and to put some faith back in the minds of Sixers fans, Embiid drove right to the hoop and delivered a thunderous slam right on the soccer star.

Pogba draining the shot over Embiid was incredibly reminiscent of Bill Hader’s character scoring on LeBron James in the movie Trainwrecked, with the celebration and everything up to par with the movie scene.

Maybe the Sixers should move their recruiting over to the soccer field, and see if Pogba wants to sign a deal to play in Philadelphia this fall alongside Embiid, Ben Simmons and No. 1 pick Markelle Fultz. If that’s not what “The Process” is asking for, then I don’t know what the Sixers really want.
