Mike Glennon throws pick-six on second pass vs. Broncos (Video)
By Jack Crosby
Well, the Mike Glennon era with the Chicago Bears is not off to the best start, as was clearly evident on Thursday.
Despite drafting Mitchell Trubisky out of North Carolina with the No. 2 overall pick this past spring, the Chicago Bears were rolling with Mike Glennon on Thursday night for the start against the Denver Broncos in the preseason opener. You know, give the kid some time to get acclimated while the veteran handles the business for now.
Yeah, well, if Glennon continues to play like the way he started on Thursday night, then Bears fans might be getting the rookie a lot sooner than they had anticipated.
Glennon was all ready to go out there and show he deserves to be the starter for the Bears, but that went off the rails quickly when on his second pass attempt of the night, the ball landed in the arms of Chris Harris who took it back to the house for the score.
So, yeah, things aren’t exactly off to the best start for Glennon in his new home, something that many won’t be too surprised about given his history with turning the ball over.
Still, even with this instance, we do have to remember that this is just a preseason game. For all we know, Glennon could go back out there the rest of the game, settle down a bit and start performing better than what you see above.

Or, you can be someone who roots for chaos and fun, Glennon continues to stink the joint up and the talks of Trubisky being the starter in his rookie season grow louder and louder as the preseason rolls on leading into the regular season.
Either way, this Chicago Bears quarterback situation is off to one hell of a start here in the first week of preseason action.
