2018 NFL Mock Draft: With Jets win, QB no longer guaranteed
By Brad Weiss
The Green Bay Packers are once again one of the best teams in the NFC, though they were given a scare during their Week 3 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Packers had to comeback at home against Cincinnati, but one other biggest weaknesses was on display. Since the NFC Championship Game, this team has struggled against the pass, and it is time for a long-term remedy.
Jaire Alexander is struggling with injuries this season, but he is definitely an NFL-ready player. He is one of the more versatile players in college football, and the Packers could certainly use somebody with his skill set. The Packers have done such a nice job stockpiling offensive talent, and now they have to replenish their defense.
Alexander is a true cornerback, but he could also play free safety at the next level. He could also be solid in the return game, and has tremendous hands for a defensive back. The Packers need depth in their secondary, and in Alexander, they could get the shutdown cornerback they have been lacking for some time now.
