Calvin Ridley

Wide Receiver, Alabama

Through the first two weeks of the 2017 NFL season, the Baltimore Ravens looked like they may challenge for supremacy in the AFC North. However, they were blown out by the Jacksonville Jaguars in London in Week 3, and last weekend, they lost a big divisional game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Quarterback Joe Flacco is still trying to get it going after missing the preseason, but man has he looked bad the last couple of weeks.

The Ravens need playmakers on offense, as their offense is sputtering the last couple of weeks. Bringing in a player like Calvin Ridley from Alabama would do so much for this team because it would give Flacco a legitimate threat down the field. Guys like Jeremy Maclin, Mike Wallace, and Breshad Perriman can certainly make plays, but the Ravens need that elite guy that teams have to game plan for each Sunday.

Ridley plays in a run-first offense at Alabama, so his true skills may not be on display until he gets to the NFL level. Still, he is an exciting player to watch and is one of the main reasons why the Crimson Tide may be headed to a third straight national title game. The Ravens are just plain boring to watch nowadays, so it would do them good to bring in a guy who can score a touchdown every time he gets his hands on the ball.
