Marcus Allen

S, Penn State

Fresh off their bye week, the Penn State Nittany Lions made a big statement against the Michigan Wolverines. While the offense made their statement, the defense made theirs as well in the 42-13 win.

Marcus Allen finished the night with six tackles in the victory. Once again, it was the typical performance that people have come to expect from him. He’s going to get his tackles each and every game.

It’s the improvements in coverage and showing he can do it all that’s going to determine just how high his draft stock goes. Right now, he’s having a really good season with a chance to make it a special season.

His stock is high with the NFL Draft six months away but it has a chance to improve that much more. He’s in the best spot he can ask for currently and a great Penn State season could lift him further.

Micah Kiser

LB, Virginia

The Virginia Cavaliers were having a special season that saw them playing well above expectations. One game isn’t going to ruin that for them this year, but this past weekend was the equivalent of getting a bucket of ice dumped on them.

Boston College came to town and ran all over the Cavaliers. They rushed for 237 yards and a touchdown on the afternoon. Micah Kiser and the defense had been the strong suit all season but they finally had an off day.

Kiser finished the afternoon with seven tackles overall. It wasn’t his biggest game of the season, but he’s been the best inside linebacker in the nation arguably and that can’t be taken away because of one game.

The Cavaliers will now have their chance to rebound and Kiser should have a big game on the road against Pittsburgh this week. He’s going to have plenty of suitors come draft time and will get his chance to shine after the season as well.
