4. Sidney Moncrief — Milwaukee Bucks

Sidney Moncrief is a two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year as well as a five-time All-NBA player, a five-time All-Star, and a five-time All-Defensive team member, and he is not in the Basketball Hall of Fame. This talking point alone makes his inclusion as number four on this list necessary.

Think about it: You throw on this green and red Milwaukee Bucks number four Moncrief jersey. You are now freshly  dressed in the colors of the holiday season. You step outside into a cold, crisp December day and people on the street want to know “whose jersey is that?” You get to drop some knowledge about Sir Sid, the Squid.

Moncrief makes the list for another very important, as yet unexplored reason: his name. Sidney Moncrief sounds like the lead singer of a smooth R&B group. Sidney Moncrief sounds like a private detective you hire to look into shady business after you meet him in a smoky, dark, back alley behind a jazz club. Sidney Moncrief sounds like the guy who should replace Lando Calrissian as the spokesperson for Colt 45. Sidney Moncrief is a very cool name.

The deep green and red Bucks jersey is no clunker, either. The color scheme is unique, and on-brand for the holiday theme of the advent calendar. The bright “Bucks” lettering stands out against the dark green jersey. Bonus points for the word buck being one of the most versatile slang words in all of slang lexicon.

Honorable Mention: Joe Dumars (Detroit Pistons), Chris Webber (Sacramento Kings), Charles Barkley (Houston Rockets)
