Julian Draxler

Arsenal could have their eyes on pairing Mesut Ozil with his fellow German countryman Julian Draxler. The young German would be an ideal replacement for Alexis Sanchez as he possess a rare blend of speed and strength that makes him difficult to defend against. At only 24 years old, Draxler can be a long-term solution for the Gunners. He’s currently under contract at PSG and will cost Arsenal a pretty penny, but the combination of his age and skill makes the financial hit well worth it.

Arsenal could pair the Germans together and could see similar success to what they have seen with Ozil and Sanchez. Ozil and Draxler train and play together for the German national team so their chemistry is already developed to some extent. However, Draxler could also replace Ozil. While he plays as a winger, he also has the ability to play more centrally. His technical ability and passing is more than good enough to allow him to control the midfield.

Due to the dual threat that Draxler provides, Arsenal should pull the trigger and bring the young German to London. The fans would be quick to accept him as well as his passion would be clearly evident on the pitch. Arsenal have already been linked with the PSG winger and they know the price, £40 million. This move is a no-brainer on paper, and Arsenal should make it official before the January window closes in a few weeks.
