Outfield, High End Spend

Giancarlo Stanton, $4,500

1.000/1.000/2.000 with 0 HR in 1 at-bat

The newest bomber in the Bronx has gotten his fair share of boos with how often he’s been striking out but he’s starting to come out of it just a little bit. He’s been on base seven times in his last four games and there is nothing about Rick Porcello that is scaring me off in this matchup. His career against righties includes number such as a .878 OPS, a .269 ISO and a .372 wOBA. Those numbers look a lot worse so far this year but it’s Stanton. It’s just a matter of time before he crushes another one or two out of the park.

Also Consider – Mookie Betts, $4,300 and Bryce Harper, $5,400

Mid-Range

Andrew Benintendi, $3,600

.667/.667/1.167 with 1 HR in 6 at-bats

With teammates Mookie Betts and J.D. Martinez getting a lot of publicity but Benintendi has been on a tear the last six games. He’s put up t least nine FanDuel points in each of them, capping out at over 30 last night. He’s hit well against Sonny Gray when he’s had the chance and is on the right side of his platoon splits. The young gun for the Sox has always hit righties well with an average over .285, an OPS over .830 and a wOBA of .355. Benintendi is the cheapest “star” player from the Sox and players should take advantage of that tonight.

Also Consider – Brett Gardner, $3,100 and Kole Calhoun, $2,900

Value

Franchy Cordero, $2,000

N/A

The value options haven’t been great so far but we’ve finally hit on one for tonight. Cordero is a highly regarded prospect for the Padres and he hit a home run in his first game last night. I would suspect that he will be chalky since he’s the bare minimum. He gets a mediocre pitcher and he could contribute in multiple categories. He was playing well in the minors right before he came up and he’s worth a shot tonight. I’m always willing to play a prospect at this price tag.

Also Consider – Byron Buxton, $2,400
