5 bold Premier League predictions: Tottenham win at Old Trafford
3. Watford maintain winning start with victory over Crystal Palace
One of the early surprises in this young Premier League season is the fact that Watford are currently sitting joint top (4th) in the league table after two wins from two games. That form will probably come to an end soon but for now Hornets’ fans can brag a little.
In fact, Watford have a very good chance to maintain their 100% start to the new campaign as they welcome Crystal Palace to Vicarage Road in the early kick-off on Sunday.
Crystal Palace will undoubtedly give them a tough match but Watford had one of the results of the week last weekend as they beat Burnley at Turf Moor. It may have been the best time to play the Clarets, what with their Europa League involvement, but it was still a great result for Watford.
This should be a close match and it could honestly go either way but I have a feeling that Watford’s momentum could take them to all three points this weekend. Palace will need to bounce back though after their loss to Liverpool on Monday.
If Roberto Pererya continues his form for the Hornets then Roy Hodgson’s side could be in trouble. The Argentine playmaker has had a good start to the season with two goals in two games and he will look to add to that tally.
In a match like this home advantage might not play the biggest of parts but this weekend it might just give Watford the edge and take them to the heavy heights of nine points from a possible nine.
